Man Killed After Crashing Into Motorized Scooter, SUV
An Oxon Hill man has died after he collided with a motorized scooter and an SUV. The people in the SUV were injured, too, police said.
TEMPLE HILLS, MD — Police are investigating a fatal collision that happened Saturday in Temple Hills involving three vehicles.
On Nov. 9 around 9:25 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the to the 4400 block of Wheeler Road for a crash involving three vehicles. They found 30-year-old Darius Robinson of Oxon Hill in his vehicle with traumatic injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Robinson was driving eastbound on Wheeler Road when, for reasons now under investigation, his vehicle collided with a motorized scooter and then with an SUV. The people in the SUV were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
