69-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies After Colliding With Vehicle In Cheverly
A motorcyclist died after police say he collided with a sedan in Cheverly. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that happened Thursday in Cheverly.
On Aug. 22 around 7:15 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Landover Road near Route 50. They found motorcyclist Roger Ferguson, 69, of Upper Marlboro in the road. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The other driver of a sedan wasn't injured, police reported.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Ferguson and the driver collided in the southbound lanes of Landover Road. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call detectives at 301-731-4422.
