Caldwell was a former Flowers student and the mother of a 15-month-old girl. She was found lying face down between two parked cars, fatally shot in the back.

Caldwell was not the intended victim, police said. Detectives believe Recio had been in an ongoing dispute with another group of males at the location.

Recio is charged with first degree murder and several counts of attempted first degree murder. He is currently in the custody of the Hazelton Federal Correctional Institution in West Virginia on unrelated charges.
