Pointer Ridge Elementary Hosts Beautification Day Thursday

Organizers are still seeking volunteers.

Pointer Ridge Elementary School's Beautification Committee is hosting a beautification day on Thursday to improve the landscape of the school, and they are still in need of volunteers. 

According to a flyer, volunteers are needed to do a variety of landscaping activies, including:

  • Pull weeds
  • Plant bulbs
  • Mulch 
  • Rake leaves 
  • Edge the grass 
  • Trim hedges, bushes and trees 
  • Trench beds around trees
  • Blow dead grass from walkways
  • Pull out dead trees, bushes and overgrown ground plants

Volunteers can arrive at the school beginning at 2:30 p.m., and are asked to bring gardening tools to help with the beautification efforts.
