Police Close Investigation Into Sexual Assault Of Girl Walking Home From School Bus Stop

A family member told Prince George's County Police that the alleged sexual assault did not happen.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Police have closed an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a young girl walking home from her school bus stop in Fort Washington. Police announced Wednesday that a family member said the incident did not take place.

The girl said she was walking home on Devon Hills Drive at Grasmere Court when a suspect allegedly grabbed her at about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 28, police said. The man allegedly pulled the girl between two cars and inappropriately touched her. She was able to break free and run away, police said.
