Police On Scene Of Double Shooting, Nearby School On Lockdown In Prince George's County

BREAKING NEWS: Police are on the scene of a double shooting in District Heights. North Forestville Elementary was placed on lockdown.

(Updated at 2:54 p.m. Thursday): DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Police are currently on the scene of a double shooting in District Heights.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Millvale Ave. at about 1:30 p.m. for the report of a double shooting. Arriving officers located two suspects suffering from non-life threatening injuries from gunshot wounds, police said. The men were transported to a nearby hospital.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be a random act.

North Forestville Elementary was placed on lockdown for about 15 minutes "out of an abundance of caution," police said. The incident was not school related.
