Upper Marlboro Shooting Suspect Charged In Bowie Man's Death

An Upper Marlboro man has been charged in connection to the September shooting death of a Bowie man.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A Prince George's man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened last month.

On Sept. 20 at approximately 1:10 pm, Prince George's police officers were called to the 1000 block of Largo Center Drive for the report of a shooting. They found 27-year-old Craig Rogers II of Bowie in the road with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed 21-year-old Malik Watson of Upper Marlboro shot the victim before taking off from the shooting scene. Both men knew each other. The motive remains under investigation.

Watson has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related charges.
