Arrest Made In Camp Springs Fatal Shooting

A Temple Hills 18-year-old has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a Washington, D.C., 23-year-old in Camp Springs.

CAMP SPRINGS, MD — An 18-year-old Temple Hills man has been charged in connection to a recent fatal shooting that happened in Camp Springs.

On May 30 at approximately 10 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 7000 block of Allentown Road in Camp Springs for a report of a shooting. Police officers found 23-year-old Anthony Bullock of Washington, D.C., with multiple gunshot wounds. Bullock was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

During the course of their investigation, police detectives identified 18-year-old Christian Okubo of Temple Hills as the suspect in this fatal shooting case. Their preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, Okubo, and victim, Bullock, knew each other. The motive of the fatal shooting remains under investigation, the police department stated.

Okubo has been charged with first-degree murder and related charges. He's in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
