Thanksgiving 2017: What's Open, What's Closed In PG County

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Here's a brief rundown of what's open and what's not this Thanksgiving in Prince George's County.

Animal Services Facility at (3750 Brown Station Road): Closed both Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24.

Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill: Closed Thursday, open Friday.

Brown Station Road Public Convenience Center: Closed Thursday, open Friday.

Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site (located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill): Closed Thursday, open Friday.

Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site (located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill): Closed Thursday, open Friday.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement: Closed Thursday and Friday. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, Nov. 27.

Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center: Closed Thursday, open Friday.

Prince George’s County Organics Composting Facility: Closed Thursday, open Friday.

Prince George’s County Materials Recycling Facility (1000 Ritchie Road): Closed Thursday, open Friday.

Bulky Trash Collection: No collections, resumes Nov. 27.

Trash Collection in County-Contracted Areas: Collections scheduled for Thursday will occur Friday, Nov. 24 and collections scheduled for Friday will occur Saturday, Nov. 25.

Curbside Recycling Collection: Collections scheduled for Thursday will occur Friday, Nov. 24 and collections scheduled for Friday will occur Saturday, Nov. 25.

County Yard Trim Collections: Collection occurs Monday, Nov. 20

TheBus: Will not operate service on Thanksgiving. Regular operations will resume on Friday, except for Route 51 serving County government buildings. Regular service on Route 51 will resume on Monday, Nov. 27. The County’s Call-A-Bus service, including Senior Transportation Services and Dialysis Services will not operate on Thanksgiving or Friday, Nov. 24. Regular operations for both services will resume on Monday, Nov. 27.

Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1: Closed Thanksgiving and Friday, Nov. 24. Will return to regular operations on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/
