Tire Shop Employee Fatally Shot, Police Ask For Public's Help Identifying 2 Suspects
Prince George's Police asks for the public's help in identifying two men they say fatally shot a tire shop employee this past weekend.
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that happened at a tire shop this past weekend. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
On Sept. 14 around 6:30 a.m., Prince George's Police were asked to conduct a welfare check at a tire shop located in the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue. Officers found 41-year-old Anthony Okoye of Bladensburg with gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital where he died. The suspects took off in a dark-colored Mercedes sedan, police said.
The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting happened inside a tire shop where Okoye worked. Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspects.
