A $25K reward has been offered in the decade-old shooting investigation, according to Prince George's County Police.

OXON HILL, MD — A man who died on Christmas Eve was the victim of a homicide perpetrated a decade ago, according to Prince George's County Police. Maurice Benton, 29, of Stevens Road in Southeast, DC, was shot in July 2006 in an Oxon Hill apartment.

An autopsy determined Benton's death was due to complications from injuries sustained in that shooting, according to a police statement.

Two other people were also injured in the shooting in the 1300 block of Southview Drive on July 29, 2016. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case, according to police.
