Voyeur Incident Reported By Student In UMD Library Bathroom
A UMD student told police that on Oct. 27, he was using the bathroom when he spied a cell phone camera aimed at him under a bathroom stall.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — A University of Maryland student reported a peeping Tom while the student was using the bathroom at McKeldin Library.
The incident happened Monday shortly before 7 p.m. A male student told police that he was inside a restroom on the 7th floor when a "quick bright light" caught his attention. It was coming from underneath the bathroom stall next to him. The student told police he saw a phone case before the suspect’s hand disappeared.
The student went to the stall next to him and saw the suspect before he left the restroom. The student told University of Maryland Police that the suspect was wearing a red flannel shirt and jeans, with glasses, and seemed older than college age.

UMD police officers canvassed the area searching for witnesses and will continue to investigate.
