LANHAM, MD -- A woman has died after a crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Lanham on Wednesday. Police say a car traveling westbound on MLK Highway at around 8 a.m. struck a second car that was trying to make a left onto Whitfield Chapel Road, according to tweets from the Prince George's County Police Department. One of the drivers, an unidentified woman, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police shut down MLK Highway at Whitfield Chapel Road for hours.
