Woman Killed After Car Backs Into Her In PG County: Police
A 57-year-old District Heights woman died after a car backed into her in District Heights Sunday evening, police said.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — A District Heights woman died after she was struck by a car on Druid Place Sunday evening, police said. The descendent has been identified as Lorraine Lawrence, 57.
Officers were called to the 6000 block of Druid Pl. at about 6:22 p.m. Sunday for the report of a pedestrian collision.
Preliminary investigation reveals that there was an earlier collision between a car and an SUV at County Road and Marlboro Pike. Lawrence, who was a passenger of the SUV, got out of her car and was standing behind the other car when the driver backed up and hit Lawrence, police said.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and called 911.
