Springdale Woman Killed In Head-On Collision In Upper Marlboro: PGPD

A 57-year-old Springdale woman was killed in a head-on collision that happened in Upper Marlboro, according to police.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A 57-year-old Springdale woman died Oct. 23 in a two-vehicle crash that happened in Upper Marlboro.

The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Largo Center Drive. Prince George's police officers found Monica Wilson with critical injuries. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The second driver suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening, according to police. Witnesses reported that two passengers in the second vehicle ran from the scene.

The preliminary investigation suggests Wilson was heading northbound on Largo Center Drive and the second vehicle was traveling southbound. For reasons now under investigation, the second driver crossed into the northbound lanes and hit Wilson’s vehicle head-on.
