Roll up your sleeves and dive into the art of sushi making! In this class, you’ll master the essentials of crafting perfect sushi rolls and bowls, from selecting fresh ingredients to shaping beautiful maki and nigiri. But we won’t stop at sushi, you’ll also learn to prepare flavorful Japanese side dishes that perfectly complement your creations, such as the cucumber salad, grilled eggplant and a dessert creation that is simple and beautiful. By the end, you’ll have an impressive, well-rounded menu to recreate at home, perfect for a dinner party or a cozy night in. Fresh, fun, and flavorful, this is sushi making at its best! Vegetarian options are available on request. This class is part hands-on, part demo $41 Materials fee due at start of class. Menu:

Join the environmental nonprofit Chesapeake Climate Action Network to raise funds for our climate work. Just like a charity fun run, Plunge participants accept donations from their friends and family to support their dash into icy cold water on February 7th. Before plunging at the National Harbor, we'll have warm beverages, snacks, action tables, games, and a mini-rally. After plunging, we'll all come back together to continue the fun with pizza and a beer on CCAN.
