  1. The Baltimore County Arts Guild's Arts & Drafts Festival provides an opportunity for artists who are beginning their careers in the professional art world to exhibit their work. The festival starts on Friday, Jun. 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with live music at the free Kickoff Concert. On Saturday, Jun. 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, Jun. 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be 65 artists displaying their visual art and a festival stage with live music.   3. On Jun. 9, the Manatee County Planning Commission will consider a request to make land-use changes for the Lakewood Centre Development of Regional Impact to build two Erickson Senior Living facilities.   • On Jun. 5, BCFD Chief Joanne Rund was the keynote speaker at Maryland Fire-Rescue Services Memorial Ceremony in Annapolis. Ten fallen Fire and EMS personnel who died in the line of duty were honored and their names were inscribed on a memorial wall. (Facebook)
