Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:
- Baltimore County teachers planned to wear "Red for Ed" yesterday, Sep. 13, to show solidarity in asking for the raises they say they deserve. The Teachers Association of Baltimore County (TABCO) also planned to give a petition at last night's board of education meeting. The "Back-to-school, Back to the Table" petition asks Baltimore County officials to come up with the money for the raises, which the teachers need due to inflation and the ongoing teacher shortage. - Chef Lindsay Keller from Catonsville volunteers through "Lasagna with Love," a pasta roots effort that is sweeping the country, to make homemade lasagna for neighbors in need. Keller, who also has a full-time job, receives emails from those in need who have signed up and then delivers the lasagnas to their doorstep every Friday morning. Keller then texts them that their lasagna is outside their door. It's a new, innovative way to give back to the community. (WMAR 2 News)
