Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- Since the redistricting battle, more Black candidates than ever before are running for Baltimore County Council. Black candidates are running in five of the seven districts, which "is unprecedented in the county," according to Tony Fugett, who is running in the 2nd District Democratic primary and was the former head of the county NAACP. The primary election takes place on Jul. 19, and the general is in November. (Baltimore Sun)
- In CNBC's annual competitiveness ranking, "America's Top States for Business in 2022," Maryland ranked number 27, a big fall from last year's number 12 ranking.
