Baltimore County Schools Change Schedule For Friday Snow
Baltimore County Public Schools have made a schedule change since snow is expected much of the day on Friday.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — All Baltimore County Public Schools and offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 19, because of expected snowfall.
Essential employees report on time for their assigned shift or may request from the appropriate supervisor to use leave time, the district said.

All evening activities involving BCPS students and staff are canceled. In addition, all community-sponsored programs in Baltimore County Public Schools buildings are canceled.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of Maryland from 4 a.m. on Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday.

The new storm will bring widespread snow, especially Friday morning. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected in portions of central and southern Maryland on Friday. Residents should plan on slippery road conditions that will affect the morning commute, the NWS said.
The Arctic air coming in behind the storm over the weekend will likely deliver the lowest temperatures of the winter so far in the mid-Atlantic region, AccuWeather said.
"Saturday is raw, with gusty winds and temperatures struggling to reach the low to mid-20s despite mainly clear skies," the Capital Weather Gang said. "Another cold night is on tap, with lows ranging through the teens."
