Juliette Whittaker, a Stanford signee, will join Team USATF from Aug. 1 to Aug. 6 at the Pascal Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia. 2. Just 20 minutes outside of Catonsville, two pedestrians were reportedly injured in a hit-and-run near Towson Circle. The incident occurred on the night of Friday, Jul. 29 at about 11:45 p.m. when the two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on Joppa Road just east of the circle. According to Baltimore County Police, the vehicle fled the scene, and both victims were taken to area hospitals. No further details have been released as of the time of publication. (WMAR 2)
  3. The multi-state Mega Millions jackpot increased from $1.1 billion to $1.28 billion for Friday's drawing, making it the second-highest Mega Millions jackpot and the third-highest overall lottery jackpot in history.
