Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. A Catonsville Walmart was evacuated on Thursday after a vehicle struck a gas line. According to a BGE spokesperson, the Walmart store on 6205 Baltimore National Pike was evacuated before gas and fire crews arrived at the scene. The spokesperson said a natural gas meter has been broken. As of Thursday evening, crews currently on the scene will remain at the site and restore service as safely and quickly as possible.   2. Catonsville homeowners can get excited about a new independent paint and decorating retailer in the area. Regal Paint Centers, an independently owned Benjamin Moore retailer which specializes in premium residential, commercial, and industrial coatings, opened a new, 3600-square-foot store and showroom off the Baltimore Beltway on Route 40 in Catonsville. The new store is located at 6600 Baltimore National Pike. (Yahoo Finance)
  3. Attention entrepreneurs of Catonsville! Community College of Baltimore County’s Center for Business Innovation will be hosting a Small Business Ownership program next month. On Mondays and Wednesdays between Sep. 12 and Oct. 19, CCBC Catonsville will be hosting a 12-session series that covers a broad range of subjects critical to the success and sustainability of a new or existing business venture.
