Closings and Cancellations for Hurricane Irene

Just about everyone in central Maryland is planning on battening down the hatches this weekend in anticipation of Hurricane Irene.

Here's a list of closing or cancellations that Patch has received. If you hear of more, comment below or email penny.riordan@patch.com.

1. Councilman Tom Quirk's event, which was scheduled for Saturday. 

2. The is off this week.

3. The at the Children's Home, which was scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.

4. The scheduled for Saturday by the Catonsville Men's Civic Association has been cancelled.

5. Patapsco Valley State Park and other parks in central Maryland are closed from Friday night through Sunday.

6. and all CCBC campuses will be closed starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will re-open by 12 p.m. on Sunday.

7. UMBC has adjusted the move-in schedule for students this weekend as well as changed some sporting events.

8. All Baltimore County Recreation and Parks events, whether indoors or out, are canceled for Saturday and Sunday.

9. All Baltimore County Public Schools weekend activities, including the at Catonsville High School.
