  1. Amid the hot weather, cooling centers are open in the Baltimore area. Catonsville residents can visit the Catonsville Senior Center or the Public Library to stay out of the heat. WBAL has a complete list of all the cooling centers in Baltimore county. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
  2. As Baltimore County Public School principals discussed the new policies for the 2022-23 school year, Catonsville High School is taking a strong stand on school safety and active shooter measures. After last year's on-campus shooting, CHS principal Matthew Ames spoke with the group about how the school community has tried to move forward. "I think it takes a team effort and we have a very, very strong community, wonderful faculty, great kids, and really a determination to not let something define us when we know that's not what we are about," said Ames. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
  3. Catonsville High School graduate Kayla Wood is about to compete in her second season of the Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse League. She credits her success to the memory of her late friend Brittany Stevens, a colleague who encouraged her and unexpectedly died three years ago. The tragedy pushed Wood to focus and prioritize her future. (Baltimore Sun)
