- Pat Young won the Democratic primary for Baltimore County Council District 1, Catonsville's district. Young had 44.16 percent of the vote, Paul Dongarra had 37.94 percent, and Danielle Nicole Singley had 17.91 percent. Click the link to see the rest of Baltimore County's 2022 election results. - Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said he will not support Dan Cox for governor in the November general election. Hogan called Cox's win in the Republican primary for governor a blow to Maryland's Republican Party. Hogan didn't say if he'd vote for the Democratic nominee, Wes More, as the next governor. - The Catonsville Chamber of Commerce announced that those who missed the "Christmas in July Food and Funds Drive" can still donate. Donations are accepted through Thursday, Jul. 28.
