Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. All 188 seats in the General Assembly are up for re-election. The Baltimore Sun looks at the House and Senate races in Baltimore City and County, district-by-district. District 44B, which covers Catonsville, has two representatives in the House of Delegates. Democrat Del. Sheila Ruth will maintain her seat in the House. Aletheia McCaskill is the second Democrat to appear on the ticket in November. (Baltimore Sun)
  2. On Aug. 2, the Maryland State Police will join local law enforcement agencies and local communities to celebrate National Night Out. The Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack will participate in the 5:oo p.m. National Night Out event at Emanuel United Methodist Church, located at 6517 Frederick Road in Catonsville.
