Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. Drag queen K.C. Florance created Drag Me to Brunch in the summer of 2020 at Union Jacks in Columbia. On the first Saturday of each month, Drag Me to Brunch is still an extremely popular show. Michelle Binkley of Catonsville celebrated her bachelorette party at Drag Me to Brunch. Michelle and her daughter Stephanie had a lot of fun at their first drag show and plan to return soon. Michelle said, "I just love how everybody’s open and they’re them. Everybody should be like that." (Baltimore Sun)
  2. On Saturday, Juliette Whittaker of Catonsville broke the national high school record for 800 meters at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon during the USATF U20 Championships with a time of 1:59.04. She qualified for the World U20 Championships during this race. Juliette recently graduated from the Mount De Sales, class of 2022. (Mile Split)
  3. Catonsville Emergency Assistance, Catonsville's food pantry, is hosting its primary summer fundraiser "Christmas in July Food and Funds Drive" from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Jul. 23. The community can participate in the Drive-Through Food Drop-Off at 25 Bloomsbury Avenue in Catonsville. Those who wish to donate funds may do so via mail or online. (Catonsville Patch)
