Fourth of July Parade Update: Five Things You Need to Know

The parade is 11 days away.

The parade is less than two weeks away. Here's what you need to know for the 65th annual event.

1. : The new event this year has extended some deadlines. You can still submit a chair for people to vote on. To see a list of decorated chairs, go here. You can vote for your favorite chair up until 5 p.m. on July 1.

2. The parade is still in need of funds. Dyann Moree wrote in a letter to the Baltimore Sun that the parade is still $35,000 short of its goal.

3. The deadline for filing a is Saturday, June 25. This year the parade is charging for entries. A business needs to pay $200 and any other type of organization owes $50. To apply, go here.

4. The will be out collecting donations for the parade on Saturday, June 25 at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Frederick Road and Bloomsbury Avenue.
