Free Meals Available To BCPS Virtual Learning Students For 21-22

BCPS students participating in the virtual learning program can pick up free meals on Mondays for the upcoming school year starting Aug. 30.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County Public Schools’ Virtual Learning Program will be offering free meals to all participating students starting Monday through the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

To receive the free meals, parents and guardians are required to complete the Virtual Learning Program student meal order form. The form must be submitted no later than Thursday to ensure participation starting next Monday. A separate form must be submitted for each child.

Students enrolled in the Virtual Learning Program may order meals on a weekly basis, as needed. The Virtual Learning Program student meal form will be available to place preorders between Mondays at 1 p.m. and Thursdays at 1 p.m. for the following Monday morning pick-up between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Meal boxes will include five breakfasts and five lunches for the school week. In accordance with BCPS COVID-19 mitigation efforts, parents and guardians will be required to wear masks and present photo identification during meal pick-up.

Meal pick-up days are subject to change in the event of a school closure due to a holiday or unexpected inclement weather, the district noted.
