Talesnik is in good condition following a weekend in which authorities first tried to figure out who he was, then sought to learn where his family or caregivers were.

Police found Talesnik at about 2:25 p.m. on Friday after someone noticed him walking on the ramp from Route 29 onto Interstate 70.

He had initially told police his name was Victor Univer. Talesnik appears to be cognitively impaired, police said.

But his last name was written inside of the jacket he was wearing, and computer checks confirmed his identity, police said.

Talesnik had not been able to say where he lives or anything about his family or any other possible caretakers, and at the time thereΒ had not been a missing person report for him, according to police.

Karen Black, spokeswoman for the state's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, said she is not authorized to confirm, nor deny that Talesnik is a patient at Spring Grove Hospital Center.
