Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. On Friday, Aug. 26, Republican challenger for Baltimore County Executive, Pat McDonough, said if he is elected he will fire Police Chief Melissa Hyatt. McDonough and Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police President Dave Folderauer believe the police are not being transparent about crime data. The County Executive's office and a Baltimore County police spokesperson said there has been a decrease in homicides, arsons, and assaults this year and "any claims of a significant rise in crime is simply not supported by data."   2. Yesterday, Aug. 28, a vehicle crash on I-695 Inner-loop near exit 14, near Catonsville, caused delays. One vehicle was overturned with at least one person inside. (Anne Arundel First Alert via Twitter)
