- Baltimore County police are searching for missing 14-year-old Andrea Pickett, who was last seen in the Catonsville/Arbutus area wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. Andrea is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighs around 100 pounds. Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact 410-307-2020 or 911. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
- On the evening of Jun. 19, 26-year-old Nakka Sai Charan was killed when a person shot him in the head while he was traveling in his car near Catonsville. Sai Charan was a software engineer from the Nalgonda district of Telangana and had been working for a company in Baltimore City for the past two years. The person who shot Sai Charan remains unidentified. (India TV News)
- The second annual Juneteenth Festival at Catonsville’s Benjamin Banneker Park and Museum was a massive success. Roslyn Johnson, director of Baltimore County Recreation and Parks, said Juneteenth is a celebration, but also commemorates that "we were enslaved almost three years beyond the time that we should have been freed" and "the struggle still continues today, and we still have to recognize our past and honor our past, but make sure that things like this don’t happen again."
