1. A new bakery called Charlsie's Bakehouse opens today, Aug. 20, on Catonsville's Frederick Road. The ribbon cutting ceremony by the Catonsville Chamber of Commerce is at 9:00 a.m. at 706 Frederick Road. (The Business Journals)

Aaron Hill, a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher, will lead a family-friendly interactive and musical workshop on Saturday, Aug. 20, and Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Clubhouse in Catonsville. The workshop, "5M Self Care Saturday Workshop," teaches participants to use "Music, Movement, Meditation, Mindfulness & Mantras" to increase peace and decrease stress. (Baltimore County Arts Guild)
