Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:

  1. On Sep. 8, the Maryland Transit Administration released seven potential bus and rail service projects in the Baltimore and Baltimore County region. The potential north-south alignments were based on public input, like the east-west alignments released over the summer. Click here to learn about the routes under consideration and to provide feedback. (Maryland Matters)
  2. The 49th annual Arts & Crafts Festival was postponed due to the weather forecast, which predicted rain all day on Sep. 11. The festival will now take place on Sunday, Sep. 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at CAA Park, located at 202 Ingleside Avenue in Catonsville. (Catonsville Chamber of Commerce)
  3. The Baltimore County Bureau of Highways is using 3D laser technology to identify the worst potholes in their service region. The new lidar system is mounted to the back of a van, which drives around the roads in Baltimore County and creates a map that rates roads from 1-100 based on their Paving Condition Index or PCI.
