Poll: Share Your Thoughts on the New Development Plan for the Catonsville Y

Last week we shared the from Councilman Tom Quirk that instead of a  medical building on roughly six acres of land on the property, Brightview Senior Living is proposing an independent senior living facility.

The plan came about after Duke Realty backed out of the plan to construct a medical building for Saint Agnes Hospital. The facility constructed by Brightview will need more than 100 fewer parking spaces and will also be a residential building.

Officials said they expect the traffic impact to be significantly less, but roughly the same amount of land will be used for the project.

Y of Central Maryland officials said the plan will pay for much needed renovations and upgrades for the Catonsville Y.
