Over-sized vehicle hit the bottom of the bridge.

Maryland State Highway officials have re-opened the Crosby Road bridge over the Baltimore Beltway after a tractor trailer struck it Thursday shortly after 12 p.m.

Crews finished removing debris from the inner loop of Interstate 695 shortly before 3 p.m., according a SHA spokesman.

Traffic was backed up prior to Wilkens Avenue for several hours on Thursday afternoon after the bridge was struck. The Beltway was closed for a short period of time and then one lane was allowed to pass.
