Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- Residents in the Broadfield community of Catonsville are worried after two teens were shot on Saturday night at the intersection of Maiden Choice Lane and Grand Bend Road. Daphne Saunders, who lives in the neighborhood, spoke about the escalating violence in the community. "We had a neighbor that was accosted getting out of her car coming in from work at knife point. We had another neighbor, a teenager, a few somebodies jumped on him going into his house. So, yes, it is very concerning," Saunders said. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
- According to Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) President, David Folderauer, the crime statistics on Baltimore County's website are "not adding up." The FOP discovered there is a lot more crime than what's currently being reported, which "shields the public from the true story of climbing crime in the County." (Fox Baltimore)
- Baltimore County Public School students and families are invited to visit schools for magnet showcase events, including one at Western School of Technology & Environmental Science in Catonsville at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13.
