Weather Decision Made For Tuesday Schedule: Baltimore County Schools
Baltimore County Public Schools officials have made a decision about Tuesday's schedule, the district said this morning.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — With the forecast calling for heavy rain and wind gusts up to 55 miles per hour on Tuesday, Baltimore County Public Schools plans to dismiss classes three hours early.
Tuesday morning, school district officials said Baltimore County public schools and offices will dismiss three hours early. All afterschool and evening activities are also canceled and there will be no afternoon Pre-K.
Additionally, the school board business meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, will move to a virtual format and can be viewed online.

“Essential” employees remain on duty or may request from the appropriate supervisor to use leave time. “Essential as Needed” employees will remain on duty as directed or may request from the appropriate supervisor to use leave time.
A strong winter storm will blow into the state on Tuesday and dump about 3 inches of rain on parts of Maryland, much of the rain falling in a six-hour period in the early evening. The downpours Tuesday evening will be blinding, with the potential for flash flooding, according to forecasts.
