Hoping for a warm winter like that of 2011-2012? Don't count on it.
The Farmers' Almanac recently released its 2014 Long Range Winter Forecast, and it's calling the upcoming winter "The Days of Shivery."
The forecast includes below-average temperatures for more than two-thirds of the nation, including "copious rains and/or snows" in the Mid-Atlantic region.
