4 Local Students Are National Merit Semifinalist
Four students from Eleanor Roosevelt High School have advanced based on their outstanding PSAT scores.

Prince George’s County Public Schools’ has four students named among the semifinalists for the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.
These Eleanor Roosevelt High School students were selected based on their scores in the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The initial number of students competing for the prestigious scholarships was 1.4 million.
The honored students are: Charles Bond, Ivie Ebhojiaye, Kristen Ramsey, and Brenda Zhang.

In a press release, Chief Executive Officer of Prince George’s County Public Schools Kevin M. Maxwell congratulated the local semifinalists, adding that “[earning] this distinction is an honor, and these students are great examples of the outstanding students we have in our district.”
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation will select the finalists next spring, and 7,600 winners will be chosen from this pool to receive a $2,500 scholarship.
