Amazon and Operation Homefront Deliver Gifts to Local Military Families

Dozens of Local Children Receive Gifts from their Wish List.

On December 17th, Operation Homefront and local Amazon.com associates delivered an early surprise to military families in our area. The Moose Lodge in College Park, Maryland hosted the event for several of the Fort Meade families, many of whom have parents who are deployed overseas for the holidays. Santa’s elves, also known as Amazon associates from the Baltimore fulfillment center, handed out gifts for dozens of children.

Earlier this month, Amazon delivered 2,000 care packages filled with popular holiday favorites, including an Amazon Fire tablet to deployed service men and women.

Amazon is a proud supporter of the local communities where its associates live and work. Amazon has a long history of supporting our military and veterans from delivering packages to combat zones to hiring thousands of veterans every year.
