COLLEGE PARK, MD — An armed robbery occurred Saturday morning near the University of Maryland campus, according to police. The robbery happened in the 7200 block of Baltimore Avenue, the university police department reported around 10 a.m. The suspect — a tall, thin man wearing a black hoodie under a yellow construction vest — was armed with a small handgun and fled the scene on foot, according to police. Prince George's County police are investigating the incident.
