Marjorie Gibson Dawes, 91, Former College Park Resident

Marjorie Gibson Dawes of Sarasota, FL and formerly of College Park passed away on Friday, Sept. 28. She was 91.

Dawes was born on Sept. 4, 1921 in Fayetteville, NC. Over the course of her career, she served in numerous government agencies and departments in Washington, DC, including the U.S. Department of the Interior, the U.S. Department of State, the Office of Strategic Services, and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Ernest French Scholarship Fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sarasota.
