US Naval Academy Band - Saxophone Recital
Saxophone Recital (MU1 Doug O'Connor) at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, University of Maryland, November 9 at 1:30 pm.
The Naval Academy Band will present a program of music for saxophone, clarinet and percussion on Sunday, November 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, MD.
Musician First Class Doug O’Connor on alto and baritone saxophone will be joined by Chief Musician Lynda Dembowski on clarinet and Mr. Lee Hinkle on percussion. The program will feature works by Christian Lauba, Paul Harvey, Greg Wanamaker, and Philippe Hurel.
The United States Naval Academy Band, “The Navy’s Oldest and Finest,” has been providing music for the Brigade of Midshipmen and surrounding community since 1852. Located at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, this premier military band offers world-class ensembles which perform a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical to contemporary.
