VOTE for UMD - Unique Venues Awards 2025

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland is proud to announce it has been nominated in the 2025 "Planner’s Choice" awards competition sponsored by Unique Venues. The University of Maryland appears on the ballot in the category "The Planner’s Choice for Academic Venue" and potential voters are encouraged to visit https://go.umd.edu/Vote2025 and cast their votes (once each day) in this very competitive category.

The "Planner’s Choice" Awards, sponsored by Unique Venues, recognizes the standout campuses, conference and business centers, sports arenas, historical and cultural venues, camps and retreat centers, and other special event venues that made a lasting impression on guests. Last year, more than 55,000 planners that regularly use the services provided by Unique Venues to connect with non-traditional spaces voted in a total of 22 categories.

A comprehensive "Get Out the Vote" campaign will continue through August 1, 2025, when balloting will end. Supporters may vote once per day through August 1, 2025.

The Conferences & Visitor Services department has brought sixteen "Planner’s Choice" Awards to the University in the past ten years:
