When to Watch Fireworks in College Park

The City of College Park and University of Maryland are teaming up to put on this year's Fourth of July fireworks display on UMD's campus.

The Fourth of July holiday is fast approaching, and the City of College Park and the University of Maryland are teaming up to put on this year’s Independence Day fireworks display.

The fireworks show will take place near Lot 1 on the University of Maryland’s campus, which is adjacent to Campus Drive off Adelphi Road. Attendees are recommended to use the Campus Drive entrance off of Route 1 or the Stadium Drive entrance off Route 193 to access the show.

Concessions — which include hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, ice cream, snow cones, soda and bottled water — will open at 5 p.m., and the on-site entertainment, which includes live music, will begin at 7 p.m. The fireworks display is slated to begin after dark at approximately 9 p.m.
