$100K Scratch-Off Ticket Claimed By Howard County Nurse
A Howard County nurse has claimed a $100K scratch-off ticket with the Maryland Lottery that she plans to invest.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — An Elkridge nurse has won a $100,000 top prize on a scratch-off ticket. The anonymous winner, who used the nickname Meks to share her story with the Maryland Lotto, claimed her prize Nov. 7.
The nurse bought her $30 scratch-off at the Rainbow Gas Station and Convenience Store in Hyattsville where she stopped to fill up her car with gas and buy her weekly supply of lottery games. She told the Maryland Lotto that she usually buys multiple scratch-off tickets when she stops to buy gas.
“I always seem to win even if it’s not much but the most I’ve won was $5,000," Meks said. “$100,000 in my hands is something I could have never imagined, even though I play so often.”
