$100K Winning Lotto Ticket Claimed By Columbia Woman

A Columbia woman recently won $100,000 on a Fast Play ticket bought at Giant #155 in Columbia that she thought was worth $20,000.

COLUMBIA, MD — A 70-year-old Columbia woman who has been lucky with the lottery in the past couldn't believe her recent luck. She's been playing the lottery for decades and has won a cruise and $5,000. Then recently, she won $100,000 on a Fast Play ticket bought at Giant #155 in Columbia that she thought was worth $20,000.

“I didn’t think I was going to win anything else,” the joyful winner told the Maryland Lottery. “I was already thankful for what I’ve already won, now I’m very excited.”

Each week, she plays lottery games at the store after buying groceries. The loyal player currently prefers Fast Play games to scratch-offs. She retired from the IRS in 2011 and plans to use her winnings on home improvements such as repairing a bathroom, buying a new dryer and installing a new deck.
