3 Teens Robbed Boy + 3 Homes Broken Into + Suspected Shoplifter Threatens Weapon: HCPD

Three teens robbed a boy while 3 homes were broken into by suspects who swiped a wallet and a vehicle, according to HCPD.

ELKRIDGE, MD — A teenage boy reported being robbed by three other teenagers while in the 8000 block of Mayfield Avenue Nov. 1.

The teen reported being approached by three other boys who pulled out a weapon, stole his phone and then his shoes, according to police. The incident happened shortly before 9 p.m. Howard County Police arrived on the scene and found the three suspects.

They arrested a 15-year-old boy from Elkridge and charged him with armed robbery and possession of a firearm. Another 15-year-old boy from Columbia and a 16-year-old boy from Elkridge were charged with armed robbery, according to police.

In other police news, an employee at Nordstrom Rack in Columbia reported a man left the store without paying for merchandise on Nov. 3 around 2:22 p.m. When the employee approached the man, he said he had a weapon and took off, police said.

In the overnight hours Nov. 3-4, a suspect climbed through a rear window of a home located in the 10800 block of Wadsworth Road in Woodstock. Nothing was reported stolen. In that same time frame in the 3000 block of Southview Road in Ellicott City, a suspect climbed through a home's window and stole a wallet. On Nov. 4, a suspect used a window to enter a home located in the 9300 block of Ramsey Drive in Ellicott City and then took off in the resident's 2014 beige Honda Accord, tags MD/ 12386CJ.
