5th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Opening of Ice Rink Set for Friday, Nov. 21, in Color Burst Park

Merriweather District will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring carolers and ice skaters and activities for all ages

Color Burst Park in the Merriweather District, Downtown Columbia, will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the holiday season. tomorrow evening, Nov. 21. Festivities kick off with the opening of the ice rink and annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Activities include live performances by the Columbia Center of Theatrical Arts and the Columbia Figure Skating Club starting at 6 p.m. The tree lighting countdown is at 7 p.m.

Roaming entertainers, photo booth, hot chocolate from The Charmery and seasonal cocktails will be available. Children’s activities include the North Pole fun crafts, writing letter to Santa, face painting and glitter tattoos.

Free parking is available at Symphony Woods Garage, 6275 Mango Tree Road.
